A blue haired psycho with a mini-gun and a rocket launcher, what’s not to like? I love the look of Jinx, the latest addition to the League of Legends champion roster.

Jinx is a mastermind criminal from Piltover and she doesn’t take crap from anyone, least of all Vi and Caitlin. Alongside her in game abilities Jinx also has custom taunts and a hidden passive that interacts with Piltover’s enforcers, Caitlin and Vi.

The League of Legends 2013 world championships are over and SK Telecom are the reigning champions. Riot have just released this highlight video of the final three matches.

There’s still a little time left in the Season 3 league for team ranked and solo queue ranked. So don’t waste any time if you are hoping to get any of the prizes for finishing in silver league or higher! I found the world series really exciting this year, who would believe there would be a $1,000,000 prize for the winning team? I’m already looking forwards to season 4. For now, enjoy this video.

A monthly subscription fee is quite normal for MMORPGs, but many games now offer micro-transactions as an alternative way to generate revenue. Micro payments can easily lead to a “pay to win” scenario, some gamers can be encouraged to stop playing and look for another game. This is why Allods Online has just added a subscription only server.

On the new subscription only server, all elements of micro transactions have been removed. Players will be able to customize their characters, ships or redistribute their avatar’s statistics and talents by using only in-game currency received from completing quests and other activities.

Of course, Allods Online will still be offering cash shop solutions and players will be able to stay on their current server and play same way as before. Joining the subscription based server will change the way how players can progress in the game, with the new payment method there is no need to worry about Runes, Patronage Rank 5, Elixirs or Strongbox bonuses as these among few other items and features will be removed from the game.

For any of you that may be interested, the LOL championship final is tomorrow. Due to be played at 04:00 tomorrow the final is between SK Telecom T1 and Royal Club. SK are a Korean team and Royal are Chinese. This will be the first time these guys have faced each other in these teams so it’s extra exciting.

First place will be taking home a cool one million dollars prize money! A respectable $250,000 will be going to second place. Who do you think will win? You can vote and see the official matchup here.

The online MMORPG side of GTA : V is live today. Rockstar have said ahead of launch they were expecting issues with server loads, due to the unexpected number of players. This should only effect the first few days, they are already getting more power to handle so many users. To be fair though, it looks like when everything is ironed out, it will be brilliant. When the first GTA came out back in 1997 I never thought I would be playing something like this, let alone online!

Anyone who has bought a copy will have free access, you will just need to download a small update to your Xbox360 or PS3, it should already be available. It will add the option of multi-player to your start screen.

The story of the online world is set a few months before the single player game. There’s a whole boat load of things they are adding. Safe houses and garages so people can’t just shoot up your house and take your car when you invite them in for a beer. Properties are going to be treated as instances, this will allow more than one person to own their own home in the same place and still be able to visit each others.

A lot of new content is promised over the coming months, it looks like GTA : V online is a massive project. I’m extremely excited to see where this goes. Get all the official news here.

Marvel Heroes is getting legendary with one of its largest updates yet in Game Update 1.3. This latest game update includes a tremendous amount of content including a new Hero, Prestige Mode, the Hero Synergy System, Legendary Quests plus more:

·         Luke Cage – Players can now jump into the action as the near invulnerable Luke Cage. With super strength, unbreakable skin, and the ability to summon Heroes for Hire teammates, Luke Cage brings an all new play style.
·         Prestige Mode – Players can now prove that they are the very best with Prestige Mode. After reaching the max level of 60, players have the option to restart at level 1 for the bragging rights of being a Prestige hero. Prestige heroes will be clearly visible to others with an exclusive color used in their name.
·         Hero Synergy System – Each hero now unlocks account-wide synergy bonuses at levels 25 and 50 that can be equipped on any hero.  Since every hero can equip up to ten synergy bonuses, including Hulk’s health bonus and Spider-Man’s increased chance to dodge, players now have access to more hero customization than ever before!

Sir! I’d Like To Report A Bug! is using a new form of monetization which has been dubbed “Post-Crowdfunding”. Players can download and play the game for free, and then if they wish donate a set amount of money. From November 22-24, the world’s best Call of Duty teams will compete in the premiere Call of Duty®: Ghosts (Xbox 360) tournament at the MLG Championship. The championship is being held at the Greater Columbus Convention Center in Columbus, Ohio. The Call of Duty®: Ghosts (Xbox 360) competition will feature 108 teams including a 96-team Open Bracket and 12 teams starting in the Championship Bracket, with a $50,000 prize pool. $20,000 is up for grabs if you can take 1st place with the remaining prize pool split between other top placing teams.

In a recent announcement, the Allods Online team have set an official launch date for their subscription server for October 3rd and offer a one week free trial to all users. Below you’ll find the official message from the producers.

Hello,

I haven’t provided an official update since our last communication regarding the Subscription Server. The reason is because we had strong desires at heart to fulfill our word and deliver the Subscription Server on September 26th. I had faced the most disappointment out of all members of the team when taking the decision to postpone the opening of the Subscription Server to October 3rd, and I must now share that news to you as well.

The truth is we had suffered from a week delay with technicalities, and we’ve been trying to close that gap during the whole week. A difficulty never shows up alone. The European version’s server merge was very successful, but it needed to be improved with database optimization and hardware upgrades to better cope with the volume of players’ interactions that cause extra workload too.

That also explains why we’ve been so secretive about date, prices, and so on. Therefore, today let’s break the seal of silence and provide all the information you’ve waiting so long for.

The NA Subscription Server will be called Smuggler’s Paradise. You probably already witnessed the presence of an additional server in the menu list, because the server is live and kicking, but you won’t be able to access it until October 3rd.
