Marvel Heroes is getting legendary with one of its largest updates yet in Game Update 1.3. This latest game update includes a tremendous amount of content including a new Hero, Prestige Mode, the Hero Synergy System, Legendary Quests plus more:

·         Luke Cage – Players can now jump into the action as the near invulnerable Luke Cage. With super strength, unbreakable skin, and the ability to summon Heroes for Hire teammates, Luke Cage brings an all new play style.
·         Prestige Mode – Players can now prove that they are the very best with Prestige Mode. After reaching the max level of 60, players have the option to restart at level 1 for the bragging rights of being a Prestige hero. Prestige heroes will be clearly visible to others with an exclusive color used in their name.
·         Hero Synergy System – Each hero now unlocks account-wide synergy bonuses at levels 25 and 50 that can be equipped on any hero.  Since every hero can equip up to ten synergy bonuses, including Hulk’s health bonus and Spider-Man’s increased chance to dodge, players now have access to more hero customization than ever before!

From November 22-24, the world’s best Call of Duty teams will compete in the premiere Call of Duty®: Ghosts (Xbox 360) tournament at the MLG Championship. The championship is being held at the Greater Columbus Convention Center in Columbus, Ohio. In a recent announcement, the Allods Online team have set an official launch date for their subscription server for October 3rd and offer a one week free trial to all users. Below you’ll find the official message from the producers.

Hello,

I haven’t provided an official update since our last communication regarding the Subscription Server. The reason is because we had strong desires at heart to fulfill our word and deliver the Subscription Server on September 26th. I had faced the most disappointment out of all members of the team when taking the decision to postpone the opening of the Subscription Server to October 3rd, and I must now share that news to you as well.

The truth is we had suffered from a week delay with technicalities, and we’ve been trying to close that gap during the whole week. A difficulty never shows up alone. The European version’s server merge was very successful, but it needed to be improved with database optimization and hardware upgrades to better cope with the volume of players’ interactions that cause extra workload too.

That also explains why we’ve been so secretive about date, prices, and so on. Therefore, today let’s break the seal of silence and provide all the information you’ve waiting so long for.

The NA Subscription Server will be called Smuggler’s Paradise. You probably already witnessed the presence of an additional server in the menu list, because the server is live and kicking, but you won’t be able to access it until October 3rd.

Turbine have revealed Cat woman as the latest upcoming character for Infinite Crisis. The DC universe MOBO will have Cat Woman on the champion roster from September 30th, so there isn’t long to wait.

As Gotham City’s master criminal turned mischievous vigilante, Catwoman’s attitude starts fights as quickly as her martial arts skills end them.  After her mother’s suicide, Selina Kyle’s father drank himself to an early grave. Selina was moved to an abusive state home from which she quickly escaped, taking to the streets. Petty thievery quickly became talented burglary, until she encountered Batman. The two soon discovered a mutual attraction, but due to… complications, neither party has ever fully committed to a romantic relationship.

CCP Games have just announced announced EVE Online’s next free expansion – Rubicon. Rubicon is the 20^th free expansion for the huge sci-fi MMO EVE. The expansion is due to be released on November 19th, Rubicon builds upon ten years of EVE online, that’s quite a lot of space time!

Rubicon represents the point where the scales of intergalactic power will shift to players, the immortal capsuleers. It expands the unmatched autonomy that EVE’s pilots have over their game universe at the expense of its four main factions, and gives them a greater arsenal with which to build up and tear down the alliances within.

In EVE Online: Rubicon, empowered players wage guerilla-style warfare against their opponents, raid their space and erode industrial power from deep behind enemy lines. Focused on individual and small fleet activity, new quick-strike options offer a powerful war tactic and a fresh style of victory in EVE’s “sandbox” universe.

This November will also see a new set of mobile, player-owned structures created to support action outside of the safety of the hangar. Meant for both solo and group use, they accentuate and diversify gameplay for pilots seeking to find their homes amongst the stars.

This weekend from Friday the 27th until Friday the 4th of October , Guild Wars 2 will be giving all new users free access to the game. To take part just register for a trial account here and be there at 8am on Friday to begin the free to play trial. The developers will also be lowering the price this Friday from £35 to £28. A new update is set to launch the following Tuesday called Twilight Assault. The new patch brings a new level 80 path in Twilight Arbor where players are able to work together to find a hidden facility.

The Free Trial period starts at 12:01 AM PDT on September 27, 2013 and ends at 11:59 PM PDT on October 3, 2013.

Valve have just announced they will be releasing their very own operating system. It’s going to be built around Steam itself, while using the architecture of Linux. SteamOS as it’s called will be available soon as a free stand-alone operating system for living room machines.

Basically, if you can hook your computer up to the TV, this is the operating system for you. It’s great to think that Steam has come so far since replacing the World Opponent Network back in 2004.

Four new Steam features have been confirmed and will be available soon for both SteamOS, and for the Steam client. Here’s what Valve had to say;

In-home Streaming: You can play all your Windows and Mac games on your SteamOS machine, too. Just turn on your existing computer and run Steam as you always have – then your SteamOS machine can stream those games over your home network straight to your TV.

Music, TV, Movies: We’re working with many of the media services you know and love. Soon we will begin bringing them online, allowing you to access your favorite music and video with Steam and SteamOS.

Family Sharing: In the past, sharing Steam games with your family members was hard. Now you can share the games you love with the people you love. Family Sharing allows you to take turns playing one another’s games while earning your own Steam achievements and saving your individual game progress to the Steam cloud.

Family Options: The living-room is family territory. That’s great, but you don’t want to see your parents’ games in your library. Soon, families will have more control over what titles get seen by whom, and more features to allow everyone in the house to get the most out of their Steam libraries.

A new PvP season has started in the World of Warcraft, it came with the recent 5.4 patch. In season 14 you no longer have to play with a premade arena team in PvP. You can join on your own and be put into a group, you still have the option to queue with a team of 2,3 or 5. You will be matched against opponents based on the average individual rank of your team.

For the most part, the mechanics of Arena will remain the same. You’ll still gain and lose personal rating based on your wins and losses, though your Conquest Point cap will now be based on your Personal Rating. The rating requirements to purchase items will also be based on your Personal Rating. Likewise, at the end of an Arena season, the top players will still earn titles and mounts.

Overall I think the changes are positive and makes for a much more competitive playing field. You can choose to wait for your team mates, or you can dive right in.
