Even though 2026 is firmly underway and gamers everywhere are gearing up for highly anticipated releases like GTA V while also playing the best games of the year so far, some of last year’s products are still being explored. In fact, 2025 provided a conveyor belt of unmissable releases, although they were also accompanied by some frankly terrible games that didn’t go down well with gaming audiences.

While the likes of Battlefield 6 sold millions of copies, Monster Hunter: Wilds is an action-RPG title gamers adored, and casino players couldn’t stop dipping in and out of SC casino gaming options, given the quality games and valuable bonuses on offer. Not every gaming release from 2025 hit the spot with communities. Of course, it’s ultimately subjective, and you might adore a product that has been criticized by millions, but the community rarely gets things wrong.

So, with that in mind, below we highlight some of the worst games of 2025. From reading reviews and assessing posts on Reddit, these games received more negative comments than the rest.

Ambulance Life: A Paramedic Simulator

Being a paramedic is undoubtedly a testing but rewarding job. While Ambulance Life: A Paramedic Simulator aimed to shine a light on this admirable career, it didn’t really do it justice. The AI-generated dialogue is abysmal, the clunky gameplay is painful, and the visuals can’t compete with many rival simulator products on the market today. Overall, Ambulance Life: A Paramedic Simulator is extremely bad.

Fast & Furious: Arcade Edition

There’s a strong argument to suggest that there are far too many Fast & Furious movies. Now, many people feel the games are heading in the same direction following the release of Fast & Furious: Arcade Edition. Not only is the title’s racing dull for many fans of the games, but it just didn’t really bring anything fresh and exciting to the table. At the time of writing, Fast & Furious: Arcade Edition is priced at around $30, which tells you everything you need to know about it.

Saborus

Saborus was actually released in 2024 but it seemed to gain a bit more traction last year. In the end, though, players were left feeling disappointed by the horror adventure product. From its unoriginal gore to its awkwardness on the Switch, Saborus just didn’t deliver.

MindsEye

There’s a reason why MindsEye is cheap to play on options like Steam right now, and it isn’t because the game was deemed a masterpiece. From the bad reviews it received to the fact that its creator couldn’t stop hammering critics who didn’t rate the game, MindsEye was a disaster overall.

Death Stranding 2: On The Beach

Death Stranding 2: On The Beach actually has plenty of admirers, but even the staunchest supporter of the game can admit that its ending let it down. In fact, for many players, it felt like a real waste of time playing the game given its climax. Sure, Death Stranding 2: On The Beach probably isn’t the worst game on the list, but like a movie’s underwhelming conclusion, its ending was a big letdown.

Fire Emblem Shadows

With a Metascore of 37, Fire Emblem Shadows clearly didn’t go down well with gamers. Seemingly trying to replicate the success of titles like Among Us, the game was heavily criticized for a number of poor inclusions, such as its lack of content, the game’s terrible tactical gameplay, and its boring auto-battler combat that offered nothing exciting whatsoever.

Other bad games from 2025 include Blood of Mehran, Splitgate 2, Spy Drops, Tales of the Shire, Tamagotchi Plaza, Scar-Lead Salvation, Glover, and Lost Soul Aside.
