Black Desert Online has been around for a few years, and one of the main issues players had with it initially was the lack of a trading system that allowed you to transfer items to your alts. Given how a few years have passed and the game got a lot of new patches, there are now a few ways for you to transfer items between your characters. This is obviously great, as BDO has a truly amazing character creation system, and knowing that you can have a brand new viable alt is definitely good for the player base. So, let’s go over a few different ways on how to transfer items between characters in BDO.

Using Storage NPC

In almost every in-game village or city you will find the so-called storage NPC. Of course, you don’t have to wander around the town to locate them, you can simply use the NPC find feature and select storage. This way your character can automatically go to that NPC location. This guy will act as your account’s bank and you can store all sorts of items and money there to free up your bag space.

Now once you store all of the items that you want to transfer to your alt, you will need to log out and log in to your other character. In order to get those items into your inventory, you will need to go to that exact same storage NPC in that same town. If your alt is very far away, then you can use the transport feature that was also recently added and send him to the exact town you want him to be. This is really great given how BDO doesn’t have many fast travel options, but it will take a whole hour until your character is transported to the selected town. So, if you plan to trade, make sure you first send the alt where it needs to be.

Much like other MMORPGs, there are a lot of advantages to having alts, but without the option to trade items between characters all of those advantages are nullified. It seems that the dev team was thinking that players would abuse the feature so it wasn’t there from the get-go. This is very common with online casinos too, since making multiple accounts on https://bestpayoutcasino.org/ would allow users to abuse bonuses and promotions. However, players are more likely to pay the devs if they truly enjoy the game, so adding trade between characters is definitely a plus.

Copying Gear

There is another feature that also allows you to copy gear from one character to another. This is great for those who wish to reroll their class and play the latest content with their alt without grinding for days to get gear. Under your health bar, you will find a tag character icon and you’ll need to click on it. If it’s not visible go to settings to add this to your UI bar, just so it’s easier to access.

Once you open up your tag feature you will choose which among your characters you wish to tag, and you can only do this if both characters are in the same town. Once you tag them you will get another option called item copy. This will allow you to copy almost all of the items to your alt, including sockets and other improvements. However, rented geat cannot be copied, and you will need an item called Marni’s Unstable Fuel for each piece you wish to copy, and it is sold by Old Moon Manager. Moreover, the strength of your gear will also increase the amount of fuel you need to make the copy. Once the gear is copied the character needs to remain tagged or it will lose all of the items you copied over.

Conclusion

This is how you can transfer items between your own characters. Hopefully, you found these tips helpful, and you will have more fun playing BDO. You can also check out other guides on how to fully utilize your alts, and help generate more resources.
