Capcom has confirmed that the Monster Hunter: World beta will begin in Saturday, December 9th at 9:00 am Pacific. The beta will run until Tuesday, December 12th at 8:59 am and is available to PlayStation 4 owners who subscribe to PlayStation Plus. Those who can participate can download the 6.0Gb client on December 8th. The beta will be focused on the quest system in the game, so players can take part in three different quests that can be completed either solo or in groups of four. In addition, players can check out over a dozen different weapons and more.

The beta features 3 quests across 2 environments from the game. In the Ancient Forest, you can hunt a fierce yet beginner-friendly Great Jagras or as a more experienced player confront the mighty threat of an Anjanath. In the Wildspire Waste, a massive, dry expanse with swamplands, you can face off against the intermediate level mud-slinging Barroth.
