A new post on the Blizzard site is shows an ad seeking a Senior Software Engineer for server technology to bring Diablo 2, StarCraft and Warcraft 3 to a new generation of players. The ad cites “evolving operating systems, hardware and online services” as barriers to be overcome to allow loyal fans and new players to enjoy the three.
Compelling stories. Intense multiplayer. Endless replayability. Qualities that made StarCraft, Warcraft III, and Diablo II the titans of their day. Evolving operating systems, hardware, and online services have made them more difficult to be experienced by their loyal followers or reaching a new generation.

One site is also making a tenuous connection between an ad for a Senior Sound Engineer for an “unnamed mobile project” and the rumored Warcraft mobile title.
