The developers at Albion Online, Sandbox Interactive – recently revealed the game’s official release date as the 17th of July 2017 and as one of the final steps before release, they have a brand new update in the pipeline today called Galahad which brings an ‘entire new world layout’ and a comprehensive rework of PvE amongst other features:
”This update brings an incredible amount of changes to the world of Albion. We have reworked the entire world, bringing in a new Royal Continent and Outlands, as well as biome-specific cities. The world map has also gotten a make-over, making it more immersive and believable. On top of that, the open world PvE has been completely revamped with massive guardians, random camps, home bases and more. No time to venture into the world? Explore one of seven new Expeditions instead!”
In order to prepare for the update, the Albion live servers went down on the 10th of March; during the downtime all data will have been wiped and the Galahad update will go live on the 13th of March 2017 at 12:00 UTC. Founder items, Gold purchased through the website and referral rewards can be reacquired after logging back into the game after the wipe and Legendary Founders will have access to the game and the Galahad update when the servers go live on Monday, the 13th of March, at 12:00 UTC, whereas Epic Founders can start playing Tuesday, the 14th of March 2017, at 12:00 UTC, and finally, Veteran Founders can start playing on Wednesday, the 15th of March 2017, at 12:00 UTC.
