It’s very odd that we don’t get more Mad Max MMO games, where you’re out in the wild fighting against man and nature in a post-apocalyptic future. The only one that stands out is Icarus Studios’ Fallen Earth. Well, Gamigo is taking yet another step towards dominating the free-to-play arena with unbelievably high quality games, and the next game on their acclivity for dominance is called Grimlands, which is basically an MMO Mad Max-style shooter.
But hey, don’t just take my word for it. Check out the free-to-play shooter in the trailer below to see just what Gamigo is cooking up for gamers.
Looks kind of insane, yeah? The game will be in a completely open-world, MMO style, where players will be trying to kill each other to stay alive, farm resources and…stay alive. Just like Mad Max, players will also gather resources, modify and build up their vehicles and travel the land like a killer nomad.
The premise sounds badass and the gameplay looks tight. I’m just glad that publishers like GamersFirst and Gamigo are going out of their way to churn out original MMOs that we don’t get often and I’m even more excited for the fact that many of them are doing quite well, such as Black Prophecy and APB: Reloaded.
